Tai Chi at the Library

Learn the basic form of Tai Chi Chih (a form of meditation in motion) at the library through this six week course on Mondays from 11 a.m - 12 p.m starting on May 14th!
Tai Chi is known to benefit physical and mental health, including flexibility and balance.

Free Lunch served Mondays thru Fridays during the summer (June 12 - August 24) for any youth (18 years old & under), through the Summer Food Service Program, thanks to Saint Paul Public Schools. Food must be eaten on site, one meal per person. Each meal includes meat or protein, dairy, grain, fruit, and vegetable (no pork is served).

Children who suffer from poor nutrition score much lower on tests of vocabulary, reading comprehension, math, and general knowledge. Over 300,000 students in Minnesota depend on the Free and Reduced Lunch program, and may not have access during the summer, making this is a valuable service to the community.

Homework Centers are comfortable spaces at the library where students of all ages can drop in and work on their homework independently or with the help of volunteer tutors. The centers are equipped with comfortable furniture, computers, printers, reference books, and school supplies for student use. Students may sign up as early as 3:30; tutors will arrive and begin tutoring at 4:00pm.

Snack is 3:30-4:30.
Free healthy snack for kids 18 years old and under. Food must be consumed onsite.

Make Friends with the Sewing Machine
