Saturday Live!

In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theater presents “On the Day You Were Born”: Based on the award winning children’s book by Debra Frasier, this toy theater production combines puppetry, poetry and music that celebrate the natural miracle of the earth. The author’s radiant collage illustrations translate to a miniature stage as puppeteers open trick boxes releasing the wonders described in the book.

Join us every Saturday in the Central Library's Youth Services department for a wide range of multicultural programs including puppetry, magic, live animals, storytelling, music, and much more! This literacy-based program selects performers for both their entertainment value and their ability to promote the joys of reading and libraries to young audiences.
