You are invited to an all ages, after-hours Arts and Appreciation Party!

FROM 5:00 TO 6:00 PM:  Poetry lab for families with Becca Barniskis, art activities for all ages and a student art show.

FROM 6:00 TO 7:30 PM:  Poetry and music from the Sonoglyph Collective

Members of the Collective have performed poetry and music together at venues and events in the Twin Cities and Greater Minnesota, including The Soap Factory, Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts, Normandale Writing Festival, Hamline Midway Library, International Beat Poetry Festival, Bemidji Library Book Festival, Patrick's Cabaret, The Loft Literary Center, and KFAI's Write On! Radio.

Becca Barniskis holds an MFA in creative writing and has been teaching poetry to people of all ages for almost 20 years. She has taught in schools and other community venues around the world and is a roster artist for COMPAS, the largest arts education roster in Minnesota. In 2012, she received the Ordway Education Award in Community Commitment in recognition of her ongoing and outstanding work in arts and education.
